Apple previewed iOS 16, the next major version of iPhone software, at its 2022 developers conference, and now the OS has entered a public beta.<\/p>\n

“Embarrassing typos are a thing of the past,” Apple SVP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi said as he introduced three of the most requested features for the Messages app.<\/p>\n

First, in iOS 16 <\/span>. So if you notice a typo after a message, you’ll be able to edit the message after the fact. A tiny “edited” appears in the status under the message.<\/p>\n
